Abstract

Farmland or soil pollution by petroleum wastes may contain long chains of Total Petroleum Hydracorbons TPH and heavy metals. Special treatment is needed to overcome contaminated soil. One solution offered is the use of mycorrhizal and hydrocarbonoclastic bacteria in phytoremediation with samanea saman Jacq. Merr plant on petroleum contaminated soil. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mycorrhizal and hydrocarbonoclastic bacteria on phytoremediation with samanea saman Jacq. Merr plant on Total petroleum hydrocarbon TPH contents on petroleum contaminated soil. From the results of the study it is known that with 200 g of mycorrhizal treatment on contaminated soil oil can decrease TPH levels from 14623 mg kg to 2.7 mg kg.
