Simulating The Concentration Of Some Heavy Metals In Mista-Ali River Mining Pond In Jos Nigeria

ABSTRACT The Concentrations of five dissolved heavy metals viz Iron Fe Zinc Zn Cadmium Cd Copper Cu and Lead Pb in Mista-Ali River were determined using the atomic absorption spectrometry. With the aid of Minitab computer software these concentrations were then modelled intoquadratic-time series model Y a bt ct2 and a pH and temperature-dependent regression models Y 26946 0 26946 1 pH 26946 2 T 268304C for each metal. These models gave insights on the forecast and predictability and the bioaccumulation or reduction of these metals in the river.
