Methodical system of studying journalism in senior classes of high school

Abstract

The study has found that the methodological system of studying journalism in senior grades of general secondary education institution is a complex structural formation that contains the main idea, functions, principles, methods, techniques, forms of educational activities aimed at thorough perception and understanding of journalistic works, which form the world outlook of the student and the socialization of senior student's personality takes place. It is implemented through lessons, optional classes, extracurricular activities on important topics, based on the continuous systemic development of the student's personality, preparing him/her for social life. The purpose of the methodological system is to determine effective methods, techniques, types and forms of educational activities aimed at achieving integrity in the perception of school literature, the formation of high moral concepts in students through the study of journalism in senior grades of general secondary education institutions. The methodical system performs the following functions: cognitive (deep comprehension of journalistic works, determination of the author's position, deepening of knowledge in the humanities); developmental (development of skills and abilities of analysis of a journalistic work); world outlook(creates a foundation for the worldview of high school students, socialization of the individual); motivational (development of interest in the study of journalism); educational (human development, high moral values). The development of the system of studying journalism has been based on the main general scientific principles of the system: integrity (dependence of each element of the system on its place, function as a whole); structure (the ability to describe the system through the definition of its structure); interdependence of system and environment (formation and identification of system features in the process of interaction with the environment while acting as a major active component of interaction); hierarchy (each component of the system in turn can be considered as a system); as well as a systematic approach: content (the ability to define the drawbacks of old traditional functions); dynamism and heredity. In addition to general scientific principles, the system is based on: General didactic principles: scientific and accessible; regularity and consistency of knowledge acquisition; problematic and scientific principles; creative activity and consciousness of students; unity of education, development and upbringing; positive learning background; connection of learning with life; taking into account the individual characteristics of students. Methodical principles of teaching Ukrainian literature: the priority of universal values; the study of literature as the art of the word, the contextual consideration of literary phenomena, the study of any work, taking into consideration its genre. Specific principles of studying journalistic works in general secondary education institutions are determined: the influence of journalism on human consciousness, the interaction of works of art and journalistic heritage of Ukrainian artists. The main idea of the system of studying journalistic works in the senior classes of high school is to increase the level of literary education, high school students' understanding of the specifics of journalism, the formation of nationally conscious and spiritually rich personality of young people. The system of studying journalistic works in the senior grades of general secondary education institutions opens wide opportunities for modernization of literary education both at Ukrainian literature lessons and at elective classes, during extracurricular activities.
