Abstract
Here is an exploration of the Arctic nowadays. One of top-priority tasks is building of offshore structures for production of natural resources, such as oil and gas, geologic and seismic. The review of the constructions suitable for exploration drilling, such as artificial ice and gravel islands, floating and fixed platform is presented in this work. Based on results of a research the conclusion about feasibility of using artificial ice islands on the Arctic shelf was made.
