Abstract
Problems of Donetsk and Luhansk regions as oldindustrial regions are researched in the article. It has been proved that modernistic transformations and formations of the bases of postindustrial economics hadn’t been provided during industrial growth in the regions. As a result Donbas has turned into half peripheral region which has caused its technics-technological decay and led to a significant intensification of social problems which became the grounds of separatism.
