Detection of economic growth poles of industrial region based on example of Dnepropetrovsk region

The theoretical approaches of modern and classical authors to definitions of “growth pole” and “growth point “ as well as factors and conditions of formation of the growth poles are studied in this article . Also the universal methodology of detection of the growth poles with their advantages and disadvantages are shown in the article. Analysis of the industrial complex of Dnepropetrovsk region of Ukraine based on this methodology was held, and the potential growth poles of the region were detected. The article is provided with the recommendations for the future application of the methodology aimed to diversify economic activity of the region.
