THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOW-COST AIR TRAVEL MARKET IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The article considers features of development of low-cost transport in Russia, in the face of declining passenger numbers. Global changes in passenger air transport, the bankruptcy of the second largest carrier, the dire financial situation one of the largest carriers in Russia, forcing others to study and adapt international expe- rience to Russian conditions and to consider the establishment of a new scheme between airlines and passengers. Studied the experience of foreign carriers in modern conditions, is an attempt to analyze the needs of airlines in new aircraft, as well as justified the need to create a low-cost carrier in the Russian Federation
