VALUABLE ORIENTATIONS OF WOMEN AS A FACTOR OF SELF-REALIZATION IN A PROFESSIONAL FIELD

The article discusses the role and significance of value orientations. For many cen- turies, the primary mission of the beautiful half of humanity was exclusively the role of the guardian of the hearth. Accordingly, she was supposed to provide an atmosphere that promot- ed comfort and harmony in the family. Nowadays, however, almost every woman strives for self-realization, not only in the family, as a mother and wife, but also at workplace, trying to reach certain professional heights. It is assumed that among the factors contributing to the formation of personality, capable of self-actualization, the central role belongs to value orien- tations that determine the direction and the subject's level of activity, the formation of his/her personality. There is a relationship between the value orientations and women's self- realization in a professional field
