Abstract
The studies were conducted in growing quail meat production at the age of 1-35 days Five groups of 100 quails were formed. The quails of the Control Group were fed a standard diet without the inclusion of additional Selenium. The quails of the trial groups received a standard diet supplemented with selenium: group 2 ? 0.1 mg, group 3 ? 0.2 mg, group 4 ? 0.3 mg and group 5 ? 0.4 mg / kg feed. For a determine the effect of selenium on the productive qualities of quails was conducted taking into account their feed intake, body weight is determined and calculated feed cost per 1 kg of live weight gain. During the study established that the best body weight was observed in animals consuming an additional 0.4 mg of Se, and the lowest feed consumption per 1 kg of growth ? from poultry which were fed 0.2 mg Se . Thus, investigated of trace elements in the indicated doses increases the productivity of quails and decrease feed costs per 1 kg of live weight gain
