Abstract
In the formation of the Russian state among the main legal acts which regulated entrepreneurial rela- tions, were Russkaia Pravda (Russian truth), Pskov Judicial Charter. Later Customs Regulations of 1653 and the New Trade charter of 1667 played the role in the development of entrepreneurial relations. The greatest devel- opment of market relations took place during the reform efforts of Peter I and Catherine II. The next important stage in the development of entrepreneurship is the end of XIX ? early XX century after the removal of serfdom in 1861. Currently, the Russian Federation legislation guarantees entrepreneurs a wide scope of rights, but some of them are declarative sometimes
