PROFESSIONAL, PROFESSIONALISM, SKILL IN CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY

The article analyzes the concept of ?professional? in contemporary society. Specific attention is paid to the problematic dimension of the professional being: skill, creative meaning of professional activity and pro- fessional identity in the contemporary globalizing world. The professional identity is treated as a communion to the values, norms, ideals of the professional community. The author concludes that the professional associated with such concepts as a knowledge, skill, creation, freedom. Professional promotes the development of humani- zation of society and also recognition and respect for the dignity of the each person. Thus, professionalism is a positive value system
