CORRELATION BETWEEN TEMPROMANDIBULAR DISORDER AND FIXED PARTIAL DENTURE & RESTORATIVE TREATMENT

Abstract
The Temporo Mandibular Disorders (TMD) is complex multifactorial problem. It is common cause of orofacial pain problems. The main approach for treatment is supportive therapy. Therefore, the aim of this investigation is to study the effect of fixed partial denture (FPD) and restorative treatment on TMD. A cross sectional survey was conducted in governmental and private hospitals in Riyadh city. A total of 300 patients were enrolled in this survey. The results revealed significant correlation between FPD and restorative treatment, and TMD.
