Abstract
Modern methods of diagnosis and surgical treatment of polyposis of the colon have been analyzed in the literature review. The article presents statistics about the risk of recurrences and malignancy after organ-preserving surgery for colon polyposis. As a result, it has been determined that endoscopic minimally invasive procedures are effective for diagnosis and treatment of single and multiple polyps as well as colon cancer at an early stage. However, despite technological innovations, the risk of recurrences and other complications after surgical treatment of polyposis of the colon remains high, which indicates the necessity to improve modern methods of treatment.
