Abstract
Introduction. According to the results of basic research, the systemic nature of psoriasis is manifested not only by lesions of the skin and musculoskeletal system, but also by diseases of internal organs, including those of the cardiovascular system. There are established common risk factors, their mutual negative influence on the development and course of both chronic dermatosis and cardiovascular pathology that requires further scientific and clinical studies. Purpose of the study. To determine the features of the course and nature of mutual influence of different clinical forms of psoriasis and ischaemic heart disease. Materials and methods. The study involved 130 patients with psoriasis, coronary heart disease and their association at the age of 40 to 65 years. Conclusions. The patients with comorbid pathology have significantly more often reduced quality of life, more severe clinical presentation of both psoriasis and ischaemic heart disease, what suggests the presence of a number of common pathogenic mechanisms of these diseases.
