THE EFFECT OF THYROXINE ON THE STATE OF PROOXIDANT-ANTIOXIDANT SYSTEM OF RAT BLOOD UNDER ADT-ANATOXIN IMMUNIZATION

Abstract

The dynamics of change of lipid hydroperoxides content, enzymatically active ceruloplasmin concentra-tion, and superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase activities in blood serum of 3-month old rats under long-term administration of thyroxine and in the process of forming of immune response to diphtheria and tetanus anatoxins of ADT-vaccine was investigated. There was revealed that in response to thyroxine administration the content of lipid peroxidation products was increased and the activity of antioxidant enzymes was decreased. The content of enzymatically active ceruloplasmin and glutathione peroxidase activity were shown to be increased in blood serum of hyperthyroid rats in the process of forming of immune response to diphtheria and tetanus anatoxins of ADT-vaccine.
