MODERN APPROACHES TO SURGICAL TREATMENT OF NON BENIGN OBSTRUCTIVE CHOLESTASIS

Abstract
80 patients with benign obstructive cholestasis were analysed. Among them 42 patients were operated on with the help of minimally invasive approach, conventional operations were performed with 38 patients. Clinical cases, in which endoscopic treatment have failed, were discussed.
Obtained results show that minimally invasive approach is highly effective in obstructive cholestasis, but conventional operations are still indicated in certain clinical situation.
