Abstract
In the paper the main results of twenty years of investigations of Helicobacter pylori pathogenicity are elucidated. The main pathogenetic and virulence factors have been presented (colonization, adhesion, penetration) and possible immune responses of the organism at Helicobacter pylori infection.
