Abstract
Endophytic bacteria - a bacteria that inhabit the internal tissues and organs of plants. They can usually be found in the intercellular space. Their ecological role is to perform a number of important host plant functions, which include: nitrogen fixation, production of growth regulators, involved in immune responses and protection against abiotic stresses.
Biologicals based on endophytic bacteria strains can serve as an environmentally-safe alternative to the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and thus bring great contribution to the crop.
