DIVINE KNOWLEDGE IN THOMAS AQUINAS / THOMAS AQUINAS’TA İLAHİ BİLGİ

Thamos Aquinas is a Catholic ecclesiastic, among this he is a philosopher that thinks first of all on God's existence end His attributes and other divinity subjects. In his sistem he benefit from ıntelligent data ass well as he protected think of reasonable data of revelation that sometimes exceeds reason. According to Aquinas, God and God's knowledge are not different things. The subject and his object God's knowledge should not be thought as different things. God knows Himsel through His essence. According to Aquinas, God's being and esence are same. Therefore God's nature, and His knowledge, subject and object is on eand same in the God. His knowledge doesn't differant from His essence. Whereas our knowledge differantiate from our nature but divine knowledge is same with God's essence. Aquinas evaluate God's knowledge and His other attributes same thing as His esence. Aquinas's this interpretation coincide with Mu'tazilite school's opinion about God's attributes that says attributes of God are same His esence. İn the Mu'tazilite school's opinion God's attributes are not apart meaning but same as God's esence. For example Abu'l-Huzayl says that; God, has knowledge with knowledge and knowledge is He. God has mighty with pover, power is He. God has living and living is He. He says same about God's attributes. According to him when ve say that God has knowledge we prove konowledge for God and we exclude ignorance from God and approve known. According to Aquinas God'sknowledge is the cause of creation. However this doesn't ocur directly but indirectly. Aquinas from the fact that God's perfect attributes defend that God knows everything with their qualifications and their particularities.
