THE FUTURE OF HUMANITY AND CIVILIATION: AN ISLAMIC PERSPECTIVE/ İNSAN VE MEDENİYETİN GELECEĞİ: İSLAMİ BİR PERSPEKTİF

Human being is an entity that gives meaning to life. He constantly tries to understand and give meaning to his surrounding and the universe. Science and technology have been produced thanks to this effort. By supplying science and technology he both believes that he can perceive life and entity correctly and carries hope to reach the happiness. But when he can not reach his goals, he gets diappointed and becomes sad. And then in time he becomes indifferent to his belove's, in general humanity's needs. Namely, he becomes “selfish”. Also in spite of wealtiess and tecnological power, human beings face big crises in civilization that he has created. The powers leading the rise of civilization are loosing their effectiveness. The buoys that provide the safety of the ship of civilation are crumbling and values that hold people together disappear. İt is seen that this problem is not exclusive to both only a few people and the region but also has dirtied all the source of life. The analyses about the contemporary crisis of civilization shows that the critical point is mankind. Most of analyses are a recipe fort he problem. Continuity of the life depends on a new beginning. There is a need to rediscover the buoys of the moral of human beings. World, the human being and the fate of the human beings depends on a new vision that is accepted both by human and society. This vision for the people needs discovery of "the word", Allah. This word tells people about their Creator, the objectives of the creation and give them their position as ' best ' creation. İt guides people in response to what people should do to acquirre rewards in their lives. İt tells them about the hereafter and teaches them human values. In addition, it is based on the criterion of truth and justice for everything. In short, it provides that people are in peace with each other, all the universe and Creator. In this case, both mankind and continuity of the civilization through evolving it to the right direction depend on this principles
