Abstract

Abstract: The dollar and the euro are considered the main monetary units in the international monetary system and the degree of liquidity, therefore changes in exchange rate of the dollar and euro has a significant impact on export prices and imports in developing countries, especially where its economy based on hydrocarbons, such as Algeria. The Algerian economy has an important relationship with the economies of the dollar and the euro, so there is an impact on its trade balance due to the change in its exchange rate. After the econometric study, we found that increasing the exchange rate of the euro against the dollar has a negative effect on the trading balance due to the relationship of the Algerian imports with the European Union (euro) and the relationship with the dollar of exports.
