Design Concept of Mangrove Kampung in Surabaya based on Sustainable Ecotourism

Kampung as an alternative object that can be developed as tourism area because it represents the identity and local wisdom. Hence, this study needs to be conducted to formulate the design concept of tourism development based on ecotourism. The ecotourism concept is a sub-component of sustainable development that can be used as a guideline to support sustainable development. This study is using two methods, those are research and design method. Research method used qualitative strategy. Data collection technique is observation and interview. The analysis technique is qualitative descriptive. While design method encompassed analysis, synthetic, appraisal, and decision. The result of this study is design alternative of mangrove kampung based on sustainable ecotourism.
