Abstract
Cluster analysis or clustering - multivariate statistical procedure that performs the data collection containing information on a sample of objects, and then organize the objects in a relatively homogeneous group. Clustering refers to the task of statistical processing. The range of applications of cluster analysis is very wide: it is used in archeology, medicine, psychology, chemistry, biology, government, philology, anthropology, marketing, sociology, geology and other disciplines. However, versatility has led to the emergence of a large number of disparate terms, methods and approaches that hinder the use of unambiguous and consistent interpretation of the cluster analysis.
