Convergências entre a Ciência da Informação e as Ciências Cognitivas

It presents the convergences between the Information Science and Cognitive Sciences, seeking arguments foundations to foster and produce knowledge and do, increasing studies and approaches. To this end, reflects on knowledge and needs, the main representatives of cognitive chains as substrate to recovery processes, understanding, reflection and critical criticality to the construction of scientific knowledge, especially in the field of various reading levels to seek and use the information. It is used as literature review methodology, establishing dialogues with classical authors and contemporary of the areas in question. We conclude that it is necessary to highlight the paradigmatic character as well as other dimensions of the conceptual structures and practices of the two focus areas, mainly concentrating research in cognitive studies to support the search information with autonomy and personal development guarantee, greater contribution in a context of constant change.
