Abstract
The problem of the influence of social identity on the individual's behavior today is extremely urgent for the international community. One of the most important aspects of human existence is a question of self-determination, self-identification that is the basis of social interaction. The study of social identityallows better insight into the relationship between man and society. This article is devoted to analyze of the influence of different social groups and institutions on the forming of personal social identity in the modern informational society. It also describes theprocess of identity development in terms of global social changes and tourism place inthis process.
