Abstract

Goal. To analyze the age and sex structure of dead from strokes and their sequelae (I60-I64, I69) in the Arkhangelsk region in 2011-2015. Materials and methods. It was achieved continuous documentary observation 7962 medical certificate of all persons who died from strokes and their sequelae in 2011-2015 in the Arkhangelsk region. From the registration forms were taken information about the deceased gender, life expectancy, area of residence and initial cause of death. Results. During the study period (2011-2015) in the structure of deaths by gender dominated by women ? 55,7%. The median survival in men was relatively shorter than the one among women and accounted for ? 67 (58; 76) years vs. 78 (71; 84) years respectively (p<0.001). Life expectancy in hemorrhagic stroke significantly lower in comparison with other classes of strokes among men and women (p<0.001). In the age structure of deaths was dominated by the group of persons older than 70 years ? of 62.9%. The proportion of deaths from all forms of strokes and their sequelae in working age was 9.0%. Conclusion. Thus, on the background of the observed downward trend in total mortality from acute disorders of cerebral circulation, the greatest contribution to maintaining a high level of mortality from these diseases make hemorrhagic strokes.
