Abstract
In this article the role of Russian textbooks in retention of methodical knowledge and in formation of professional competences at future elementary school teachers is considered; various directions of the Russian text-books' analysis at practical training of technique of teaching Russian are suggested; examples of methodical tasks with usage of materials of Russian school-books for elementary school are presented.
