Abstract
The modern soils have a range of peculiarities, which are not characteristic of the modern soil formation conditions. The inconformity facts of the beginning of the soil formation processes, having formed the modern (current, Holocene) soils and the beginning of Holocene are considered. It is shown that the history of development of the modern soils includes pre-Holocene processes of formation of soil-forming solids (periods of cold snap) and the soil formation processes in the periods of warm spell. Considering the dynamics of the modern ecosystems, it is necessary to take into account that the most modern soils have started forming long before Holocene in those natural process warm periods of transfer from Pleistocene to Holocene.
