Abstract

This article deals with the formation ways of hydronomy appellatives in Karakalpak. The opinions of scientists-linguists about appellatives in the Karakalpak language are considered. The hydronyms have also morphological features. Components of hydronyms and their synonyms express various concepts. The words designating names are formed in the morphological way through coupling, connection and combination.
