KEBIJAKAN PENETAPAN PELABUHAN PERIKANAN SAMUDERA (PPS) BITUNG SEBAGAI KAWASAN INTI MINAPOLITAN

This study aims to identify whether Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries policy is in accordance with the determination of Bitung Ocean Fishing Port as Minapolitan core region in Bitung City. Analysis of the research was carried out by utilizing descriptive case study and survey methods. Primary and secondary data were collected through interviews, mail survey (closed questions), field observations, and literature study. Results of the research indicate that: 1) aspects of development pillars in Bitung Ocean Fishing Port have been able to support the development of Bitung City to become Minapolitan area 2) impact of Minapolitan policy can create local industrial throughout Bitung Ocean Fishing Port, 3) determination of Bitung Ocean Fishing Port as Minapolitan core region of Ocean Fishery Port Minapolitan Bitung comes to be a strategic policy of Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.
