Abstract
This study is to describe the mathematics learning outcome and response improvement of 8th grade class in MTs Syarif Hidayatullah after application of cooperative learning model Guided Inquiry type on the Tangent Circle subject. This research is a classroom action research with research subjects eighth grade students of MTs Syarif Hidayatullah on the 2014/2015 academic year. The research was conducted in two cycles of action. The data collection technique using the test methods, methods of observation and questionnaire method. The result showed an increase of completeness of student evaluation test results is 21.88%. Affective aspects improvement of student activity gets active and active enough criteria is 3.12%. Psychomotor aspects improvement of student activity that gets skilled and skilled enough criteria is 25%. In addition the results of the student questionnaire responses of students categorized by 84.38% strongly agree and agree to the cooperative learning model Guided Inquiry type.
