Occult Pneumothorax in Minor Thoracic Trauma: Role of Ultrasonography ? A Case Series

Bed?side ultrasound is a feasible, rapid and not expensive technique in order to detect lesions and injuries in traumatic patients. We describe a series of minor blunt chest traumas in which echography was useful to diagnose pneumothorax not detected by conventional x?ray. This finding was subsequently confirmed by CT scan with important impact on treatment and prognosis of these patients.
