DOCUMENT LINGUISTICS OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL DIRECTION IN MODERN APPLIED LINGUISTICS

The researches of the document linguistics of scientific and technical direction in modern linguistics belong to the most relevant because scientific and technical information exchange in the global world is the most important component of the development of any country. The objective of this article is to identify the problems and tasks of the document linguistics of scientific and technical direction as a specific area of linguistic knowledge. This discipline is formed at the intersection of linguistics (especially in the terminological plane, and in the aspect of translation problems) and documentation in their theoretical and practical aspects. In addition to the function of social information medium, scientific and technical document information requires a specific semantic (sense) load in a certain scientific and technical field, which is transmitted discretely. The message has a signed nature; it is a coded text which requires the knowledge of specific vocabulary, terminology. Thus, the study of the document linguistics requires further conceptual clarification and adaptation of the basic concepts that are developed in the traditional areas of linguistic knowledge.
