Assessment of health and medical insurance in Kharkiv region

Abstract
The paper deals with the protection of health and the level of health insurance at the regional level. The evaluation of health status and the level of health insurance in the Kharkov region. It is noted that the current regional market for health insurance is an important element of the region's economic infrastructure, and it is in this context, its effective functioning may be an important factor and an effective tool for socio-economic development of the region. It was determined that the Kharkiv region has an extensive health infrastructure and the powerful potential of the industry. It was noted that over the past decade the level of morbidity in the Kharkiv region remains higher than the average Ukrainian, even though there is a tendency to its gradual decline. The dynamics of insurance premiums for medical insurance in Ukraine in 2010-2014. and changes in the level of payments for voluntary health insurance companies – leaders of the Kharkov region market. The characteristic of the main insurance products for voluntary health insurance insurance companies Kharkiv region. Spend a SWOT-analysis of external and internal environment of the functioning of the insurance kaipany, revealed the most realistic opportunities and threats. It is proved that the Kharkov region has prospects for development of the health insurance system, as potential consumers of insurance services much.
