Fatigue Failure of Pan Mixer Shaft

The primary aim of the present study was to find out the cause of failure of concrete pan mixer shaft. This shaft under various loading may failed like, overloading, bending, fatigue, vibration, etc. By this study, the main cause of Failure of shaft is fatigue. “Fatigue failure is defined as the tendency of material to fracture by means of progressive brittle cracking under repeated altering or cyclic stresses”. This paper only describes the investigation of fatigue failure of pan mixer shaft on the basis of literature survey and extensive study of the existing pan mixer.
