V-SHAPED ANTENNA ARRAYS

In this paper, we present V-shaped arrays . We study their behavior of this recently-introduced array geometry and highlight some of its features. The superiority of this type of antenna arrays has been already demonstrated for far-field source localization. We complete the un- derstanding of such arrays by also considering their use for beam-forming applications, another major applica- tion of antenna array signal processing. We show that an isotropic V array is so, for both source localization and beam-forming.
