Abstract
The study, whose results are presented in the article, is the evaluation of the quality of life of patients with epilepsy, the effectiveness of their characteristic psychological defense mechanisms, as well as a comparison of these parameters on samples of men and women. It was found that women are statistically more likely than men, there are psychological defense mechanisms such as the denial, intellectualization and reaction formation. These mechanisms are more constructive, reduce the risk of conflict and better adapted to the world of patients. It is also empirically found relationship quality of life and psychological defense mechanisms of men and women with epilepsy.
