DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF RP-HPLC METHOD FOR SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF TINIDAZOLE AND CLOTRIMAZOLE IN TABLET DOSAGE FORM

The object of present study was to dev presies, rapid and isocratic Reverse Phase HPLC(RP (TINI) and Clotrimazole (CLO) in bulk and combined dosage form. C-18(250mm×4.6 mm, 5μ) with mobile phase consisting of phosphate buffer(PH 2.5)TEA(0.05 %) : Actonitrile (60 : 40 % v/v) at a flow rate 1.5 ml/min. UV detection at 254 nm. TINI and CLO obeyed linearity in the concentration range 50-500 μg/ml (r2 =0.9999) and 20- to be 0.74 for TINI 1.09 for CLO. The developed method was validate as per ICH guidelines. It was concluded that the Method can be used for routine analysis of TINI and CLO in combined formulation.
