Abstract
Chronic cholecystitis to this day remains an urgent problem among the population of developed countries. Despite a detailed study of the etiology and pathogenesis, the development of treatment and prevention of this disease, the incidence of chronic cholecystitis with the years only increases, which significantly affects the standard of living of the population. It should be noted that the disease tends to "rejuvenate", and the frequency of detection of cholecystitis among the male population is steadily growing. In this article, we will consider the reasons why this disease occurs most often, and predisposing factors that contribute to and enhance the development of chronic cholecystitis.
