The article deals with the content of the English speaking competence formation of the first and the second-year college students. One of the pedagogical tasks is its content concretization of future specialists. The notion of the content of speech interaction teaching is described. The purpose of the article is description of the content of the English speaking competence formation of the future technician-builders. As many scholars claim the content of teaching English speech interaction includes subject and process aspects. The subject content aspect contains such components: spheres and types of the English speech interaction, topics, psychological and communicative situations, communicative roles, problems and texts, communicative intentions, country-studying and lingua country-studying knowledge are concreticised and described. The paper analyses spheres of future technician-builders' communication. Some examples of texts' topics, communicative situations and problems for teaching English interaction of the first and the second-year college students are represented. The process content aspect includes such components: speech knowledge, speech interaction's skills and exercises for their development of the English speaking competence formation of future technician-builders, which are described in the paper. Perspective of the further research is connected with the determination of psychological and linguistic peculiarities of the English speaking competence formation of the future technician-builders.
