Abstract
The great number of buildings with vaulted brick plates on metal beams are still remaining, and some of them are in need of being renovated.Calculations by results of which the construction is strengthened are conducted without inclusion of vaults. Considering such calculations, structures are often admitted unsuitable for operation. However, in practice most of them are in the normal working conditions and are capable of bearing the set loading without strengthening. This work is devoted to an assessment of brick vaulted filling's stiffness influence on the beams' bearing ability.
