THE SCIENCE OF KAVAID AND IZZUDDIN B. ABDUSSELAM’S PLACE AND EFFECT INTO THIS SCIENCE

Total rules have important place in the Islamic law. Values of total rules come from their reference resources like Quran and Sunnah. Total rules, established by Prophet Muhammad and his followers, are categorised by late followers of Prophet Muhammad. Total rules are matured by İzzüddîn b. Abdüsselâm and Karâfî's studies at IX.- X. centuries, and now today any of fiqh scholars cannot disregard them. Total rules play an important role in arranging fiqh topics, acquiring scientific knowledge on fiqh and education of fiqh. For that reason, scientists of fiqh appreciate total rules and draw attention to them. In this study, topics are importance, sources, features and history of total rules in the Islamic law, İzzüddîn b. Abdüsselâm's place in that discipline. Within limitation of this article, it is not possible to give extensive details. In the conclusion section, findings and remarks of the article are presented.
