Abstract
Annotation. The article presents general methodological approaches, provisions and principles of structural design of earth sheltered buildings. Purpose. Development of scientific basis of calculation of structures of earth sheltered buildings taking into account external influences and requirements of reliability and comfort and minimization of life cycle costs. Methods. There is proposed the general scheme of requirements and restrictions imposed on the characteristics of bearing and enclosing structures, engineering systems, microclimate facilities aimed to meet the safety parameters, functionality, health care (comfort), economic and environmental efficiency of earth sheltered buildings. Results. There is developed general scheme requirements and restrictions imposed on the characteristics of bearing and protecting structures, systems engineering, microclimate facilities to meet the safety parameters, functionality, health care (comfort), economic and environmental efficiency earth sheltered buildings. The methods of assessment of lifecycle of earth sheltered buildings, including the costs of construction, operation and utilization (demolition) of building based on discounting are proposed. For the rational design of structures of earth sheltered buildings a mathematical model is formulated in the form of nonlinear mathematical programming problem: to minimize total discounted value of the annual life cycle of the building. The system of environmental certification of earth sheltered buildings for compliance with the criteria of sustainable development is proposed. Scientific novelty. There are first time developed a common methodological approach, the main provisions and principles of calculation and design of structures of earth sheltered buildings taking into account external influences. Practical value. Possibility to create rational solutions of earth sheltered dwelling houses and methods of their placement in the environment, which satisfy the requirements of reliability, comfort and environmental safety considering minimization of life cycle costs.
