Special aspects of blended cements hardening with additives with different degree of crystallinity

Hydration of blended cements with siliceous additives that are characterized by amorphous, vitreous and combined (crystalline and vitreous) structure is studied. The purpose of the investigation is to compare special aspects of hydration and properties of cements with different additives. The influence of additives on the normal consistency, setting times of cement pastes with additives and strength development of cements is studied. It is determined that use of the additives with amorphous siliceous constituent in cement composition is not rational, while additives with combined structure are the most efficient.
