Abstract
The aim of this paper is the numerical simulation of scalar mixing distribution in the incompressible single phase scalar transport flow in a T-junction mixing pipe and in a three dimensional channel with sudden expansion. Open source package OpenFOAM was used for simulation. The numerical results have been validated against laboratory experiments. The comparisons between the simulations and observations show a good agreement on the flow patterns and pollutant transports
