PLASTIC SHRINKAGE OF CONCRETE – THE SHORT PUBLICATIONS REVIEW

Article is the review of Russian and foreign publications on a concrete plastic shrinkage, and plastic shrinkage cracking of the plastic concrete. As the cracking caused by concrete plastic shrinkage can significantly reduce durability and life cycle of concrete elements and can cause expansive repair, the comprehensive understanding of the mechanism of this phenomenon is important for prevention of similar charges in the future. This article is a review of the plastic shrinkage cracking mechanism, also the existing ways of plastic shrinkage cracking prevention are considered.
