Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the methods and devices that increase the performance and reliability of the piston pumps. Experimental study of piston pumps with cryogenic medium normal and emergency operating modes is presented. The oscillograms have been obtained, pressure oscillations amplitude has been fixed to understand the processes occurring in such pumps better. The mode of disruption supply of the three-linear piston pump has been studied carefully, the danger of this mode for the pump construction has been shown. Experiential and industrial review of the piston pump breakdown sensor effectiveness was carried out, that allows more reliable diagnostics of this mode. Recommendations for improvement the reliability and efficiency of reciprocating pumps operation are given.
