Abstract
In this article results of the statistical analysis of temperatures on the weather station Vladikavkaz (WMO index 37228) in the period 1961-2016 are presented. This weather station is situated in the piedmont foreststeppe zone of Central Caucasus in the territory of Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The “average long-term normals” of temperatures (month, season, year) in the base period of WMO of 1961-1990, for the rolling periods 1971- 2000, 1981-2010yy, and their dynamics for the post-base period of WMO 1991-2016 are calculated. The general positive temperature trend of the investigated region for all year periods is established that promoted favorable conditions for set expansion of the cultivated crops.
