SONGS OF M. MANGITAYEV

This article is devoted to the songs of the Kazakh composer of the second half of the 20th century Mynzhasar Mangitayev, to the features of his song style. The characteristic features of his melodics, interrelation with national song traditions, on the one hand, and tendencies of development of the Soviet mass song, on the other hand, are noted.
