Abstract
Regions' development at this time is characterized by increasing uncertainty of the present and future prospects. Under these conditions, social, economic, political and other processes are subject to risks in various branches and fields of activity. In this article various approaches to simulation and forecasting of regional risks are investigated. Forecasting based on risks assessment according to the mediate, statistical-probabilistic methods, efficiency indicators and exponential methods is considered. The attention is paid to the need of strict selection of the obtained models based on the criteria indicators for the purpose of forecasts' quality ensuring
